Dr. Paramjeet Singh Mann holds an impressive array of qualifications in the field of medicine. He earned his M.D. in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases in 1988 from the prestigious Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute at Delhi University, India—a college listed by the WHO and recognized by the Medical Council of India. Prior to that, he obtained a Diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases from the same institution in 1985.
Dr. Mann began his medical education at Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi University, where he completed his M.B.B.S. in 1981. This college is also recognized by the WHO and the Medical Council of India. His extensive education laid a strong foundation for his distinguished career in respiratory medicine, sleep medicine, and critical care.
AWARDS
Dr. Paramjeet Singh Mann has received numerous prestigious awards and honors throughout his illustrious career. In 1988, he was awarded the Rajshiri Dr. Ram Kishore Memorial Medal for being the top candidate in the Doctor of Medicine (Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases) Examination at the University of Delhi, India.
In 1998, he was recognized with the Best Doctor Award for the South Sharquia Region in the Sultanate of Oman, a testament to his exceptional medical practice and dedication to patient care in the region.
Additionally, in 2009, Dr. Mann was awarded the Fellowship of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP) by the American College of Chest Physicians, USA, acknowledging his significant contributions and expertise in the field of chest medicine.
SPECIALIZED TRAINING AFTER POST GRADUATION IN INDIA
Dr. Paramjeet Singh Mann served as a Medical Officer at Rajan Babu Tuberculosis Hospital, one of Asia's largest tuberculosis hospitals affiliated with Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, University of Delhi, from May 1985 to May 1990. During his tenure, he played a crucial role in diagnosing and treating numerous patients with tuberculosis, contributing to significant advancements in the hospital's medical practices and patient care.
From 1991 to 2004, Dr. Mann worked as the Regional Tuberculosis Focal Point in the South Sharqia Region of the Sultanate of Oman. In this role, he was recognized by the WHO Tuberculosis Control Program for his outstanding efforts in tuberculosis control and management. His work involved coordinating regional TB control activities, implementing WHO guidelines, and improving TB treatment outcomes, which significantly enhanced the region's public health infrastructure.
